Aim
To provide lesson plans and schemes of work to aid a natural approach to death and grief education, meeting PSHE and Citizenship criteria, and suitable for other curriculum areas. Supports SEAL delivery
Learning outcomes
- to develop positive strategies to introduce this emotive subject in an appropriate way to children, young people, their families and the school community
- to give creative ideas, lesson plans and activities forming a scheme of work, which aids emotional literacy and grief coping skills. Suitable for Primary and Secondary schools
- to gain confidence to take a proactive approach, treating death as a natural part of everyday classroom life rather than a taboo subject
