Aim

To develop a strategy and explore how a 'care pathway' can be used to support and deliver a Trust-wide bereavement service, which is both responsive and flexible enough to support the differing needs of bereaved families and staff

Learning outcomes

to identify what strategies and support Trusts already have in place and establish areas in which existing good practice may be developed
to identify best practice issues in relation to bereavement care and informed choice for parents/carers
to develop a bereavement strategy and explored how a care pathway can be used to deliver a Trust-wide service
to identify a bereavement service that will meet local needs
to recognise the imortance of self-awareness and support for the professional
to gain information about the Child Bereavement Charity, other similar support organisations and resources available
