EDUCATING PROFESSIONALS
The Charity's primary area of work is to train and support professionals and volunteers whose work brings them into contact with bereaved families, in order to enhance the quality of care and support they are providing. We operate a credible and well established training and consultancy service.
Every year, through our programme of workshops, courses and conferences, we train thousands of professionals from various disciplines in the statutory sectors - nurses, doctors, and other health professionals, social workers, teachers and school staff, police and emergency service employees, coroners and their officers, as well as those working in the voluntary sector.
All our training is delivered by skilled facilitators, combining subject knowledge and facilitation expertise with extensive experience of working in their particular field of bereavement.
Our training is fully interactive and uses a variety of teaching methods to ensure participants gain as much from the course as possible.
"I have gained so much knowledge. The enthusiasm and professionalism of the facilitator made the day".
Continuing Professional Development
All our training contributes to CPD, a full day workshop equating to 5 hours. Supporting course material and a certificate of attendance are provided.
