Snowdrop Walk

Sunday 14 February 2010

We are holding our annual Snowdrop Walk in West Wycombe Park, Buckinghamshire on Sunday 14th February 2010.

"Every year, lots of families take part in our Snowdrop Walk and we very much hope that many people will once again come to enjoy the beauty of the park. Whether you are a child or young person who has been bereaved, or a parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle or godparent who has lost a young family member, all are welcome to come along," says Chief Executive of the Child Bereavement Charity, Ann Chalmers. "Every penny raised goes towards supporting our vital work in improving the support offered to grieving families."

The grounds will be open from noon until 4pm, with an opportunity to plant snowdrops in memory of loved ones, walk around the grounds and for children to take part in the new Animal Alphabet Hunt!  There will also be hot food and refreshments available from West Wycombe Village Hall at the end of the walk.

Individual snowdrops will be available for purchase on the day and the Child Bereavement Charity team will be on hand to help plant them in the Memorial Garden at The Temple of Venus within the grounds of West Wycombe Park.

The event is taking place thanks to the continued generous support of Sir Edward and Lady Dashwood, owners of West Wycombe Park.

Entrance fee: £2.50 adult, £1.50 concessions and children over 3, children under 3 free. Children's Treasure Trail - £1.00. Only guide and hearing dogs allowed.
