Mt. Toubkal, Morocco - 16-20 September 2009

Join us and take part in the Child Bereavement Charity's 1^st ever trek in and around the foothills of Jebel Toubkal, North Africa's highest peak at 13,665ft in Morocco!

This challenging weekend trek to the summit of Mt. Toubkal takes you from the bustling souks and exotic sights of Marrakech to the remote and arid High Atlas mountain range. Your route is on a mixture of rocky and sandy paths, passing traditional Berber villages, grassy meadows, isolated patches of snow and flowing rivers.   Your final ascent starts before sunrise and takes you to the top of North Africa where you will enjoy breathtaking panoramic views to the east and west over the snow-capped peaks of the High Atlas mountains. To the south the Sahara stretches out below and to the north the plains of Morocco.  This trek is 5 days long and typically Day 1 and Day 5 are spent flying and travelling to and from London.

We will provide you with everything as in the Three Peaks Challenge and also special training guides for high altitudes (your doctor will be required to sign a high altitudes medical form for you).

Be one of the first people to climb this mountain for the Child Bereavement Charity and register now!  Each person will be required to pay a £250 non-refundable deposit and raise a minimum sponsorship of £1600.

Notes
For both challenges we are working with a company called The Ultimate Travel Company, who have several years experience of organising international challenge events, and our leaders will be fully qualified mountain leaders who are first aid trained (a British Doctor will be on the challenge in Morocco).
