Community fundraising

There are so many ways to raise money for the Child Bereavement Charity - here are some suggestions, some of which are more energetic than others!

Hold a Coffee Morning or Lunch - invite your friends and ask them to hold one in turn. We will provide you with literature about our work and a short video to show them.

Participate in a marathon or sporting event - We are delighted to have been awarded 5 Golden Bond places for each London and Edinburgh Marathon, and are currently looking for runners to complete our teams for 2008.

Hold a local Charity Auction - Local businesses and shops are often happy to provide prizes that can be auctioned off to the highest bidder.

Perform a Concert or Theatrical Production - if your school or amateur dramatic society is putting on a show, perhaps you could donate the ticket sales from one of the nights to the Child Bereavement Charity.

Arrange a Sponsored Walk or Swim - a healthy way to fundraise!

Donate the proceeds from a jumble or car boot sale - always a great way to clear your cupboards and generate funds at the same time.

Participate in a Sponsored Parachute Jump or any other sporting event - please contact us for an official sponsor form.

Attend a Child Bereavement Charity Snowdrop Day - sponsor a Snowdrop or sell Snowdrop Badges. You might also like to set up a Snowdrop Walk in your own area.

Organise a Summer or Winter Ball for your friends, family and work colleagues to enjoy.

And for children and young people, you might like to organise an event within your school, such as a non-uniform day, jumble sale, or perhaps a sponsored silence!

Any money you personally raise can be used to help bereaved families especially children in your local area. With £50 we could provide your local school with CBC help and information, through our CBC Schools Packs, or £100 could provide some after school training for when children face grief and bereavement.

Helping Your Local Hospital or Hospice

Volunteer at a CBC Event or in the Charity's Office in preparation for and on the day of an event. We often need volunteer support  for the many varied tasks involved with putting on an event.  Click here for more information on volunteering for the Child Bereavement Charity
