About us

The Child Bereavement Charity (CBC) provides specialised support, information and training to all those affected when a baby or child dies, or when a child is bereaved.

By learning continuously from children and parents, CBC leads the way in improving the quality of care offered by professionals to such families, both in the immediate crisis and in the time following the death of someone important in their lives.

We provide a wide range of training courses and award-winning resources for professionals from the NHS, emergency services, schools, social care and the voluntary sector.

Our dedicated support and information service - including our website with its interactive forums, our national confidential support and information line 01494 446648 and our Buckinghamshire based family bereavement support service - provides help and guidance for families and professionals.

Everything the charity does is based on what we have learned from bereaved families and children.  Families work with us as volunteers - they inform our training and reosurces, contribute to projects and research, and help us raise awareness through the media.
