Training

The Child Bereavement Charity (CBC) is unique amongst bereavement charities in that its primary area of work is to train and support professionals who come into contact with bereaved families. The Charity operates a well established training and consultancy service.

Every year, through our programme of workshops, courses and conferences, we train thousands of professionals from various disiplines in the statutory sectors - nurses, doctors, and other health professionals, teachers and school staff, police and emergency service employees, coroners' officers, social and children's workers - as well as those working in the voluntary sector.

All our training is delivered by skilled facilitators, combining subject knowledge and expertise, with extensive experience of working in their particular field of bereavement.

Our training is fully interactive and uses a variety of teaching methods to ensure participants gain as much from the course as possible.

"The course materials are a brilliant resource and include a wealth of information".

Continuing Professional Development

All our training contributes to CPD, a full day workshop equating to 5 hours. Supporting course material and a certificate of attendance are provided.
