Do you have unwanted mobile phones and empty inkjet cartridges?
STOP! Please don't throw them in the bin! A quick call to Stephanie Reid at the Child Bereavement Charity on 01494 479752 will ensure you receive a freepost recycling bag. You can then send your unwanted mobile phones and inkjet cartridges to Recycle4Charity [1] who will not only recycle these items but send a donation to the Child Bereavement Charity for every mobile phone and inkjet they receive.
Inkjet Cartridges
- For every virgin inkjet cartridge (never been recycled before), the Child Bereavement Charity will receive £1.00
- Every year over four million used printer cartridges end up in landfill sites
- Currently only 15% of all original inkjets sold manage to find their way back to the recycling market
- You could help improve these statistics as well as your carbon footprint whilst supporting the Child Bereavement Charity
- Inkjets can also be found in most fax machines as well as printers and multifunction machines
Recycle4Charity will accept the following inkjet cartridges:
- Dell
- Xerox
- Canon
- Lexmark
- Hewlett Packard
- Samsung C60/M50/M55/M40/M10
- Sharp UXC70B
- Phillips Inkjet
- Brother IN-700
- Please do not send any Epson cartridges as they are ink tanks, not inkjets and cannot be recycled.
Mobile Phones
-
Recycle4Charity will donate 50% of the recycled value for all mobile phones and accessories. (The remaining 50% goes towards shipping, handling and administration costs)
- Unfortunately we cannot give an exact value as the market value of these products change daily
- Some phones can be worth up to a £30.00 or more each
- Mobiles are shipped to developing countries to be reused, reconditioned, or are recycled nationally (UK) for other materials in a responsible manner
