A Heartbeat Away, compiled by Flappy Lane Fox who lost her son Harry Sidebottom, charts the journey from the isolation of grief and loss through to the first renewal of hope. This life-affirming book comprises anthologies of writings on the themes of 'Grief, Bereavement and Loss' and 'Hope, Humour and Love'; the former is introduced by Ann Chalmers and Jenni Thomas OBE of the Child Bereavement Charity, and the latter by Angharad Rees and Christopher Cazenove, themselves bereaved parents. Included is a personal account by Flappy Lane Fox of her experience following her tragic news on 5 September, 1999, up to the present time when she has at last been able to connect with life once more.
