You've just gone through one of the worst experiences anyone could have to face. At first it will seem awful carrying on without the person who has just died. It will feel like there is a big gap in your life.
Some days may be really awful, when you feel you can't cope or manage anything. You'll feel anxious, tearful and tired. Grieving is very exhausting. But you will also get days when you feel more hopeful and optimistic. Try not to feel guilty if you have a day when you don't think about the person that died. You don't have to be sad all the time. Give yourself permission to be happy.
There may be other changes that happen when someone important dies. You may have to move house or change schools, which can give rise to a whole mixture of feelings. What can help is to talk these through with someone you trust.
