Coroners, police and emergency services

Those working within the coronial service, the police and emergency services are interacting with bereaved families at a time of great distress and crisis. Coroner's Officers and Police Family Liaison Officers work particularly closely with bereaved relatives.

The Child Bereavement Charity has devised specific training for those working in these roles to help them gain a deeper understanding of the needs of the families and learn what is helpful in communicating with families.
