One of CBC's Patrons, Alexander Dickinson, whose son George died in the spring of 2000 aged just seven years old, has tirelessly raised funds for the Child Bereavement Charity to develop its work in the North East. This has included establishing in 2007 a dedicated Bereavement Support post in the area, as well as providing training in the North East.
CBC also supports the work of many in the North East providing exemplary care to grieving and bereaved families. Alex Horsfall, Bereavement Support Midwife for Bradford Hospitals, is just one practitioner who has raised standards, particularly in recognising the needs of the multi-cultural society in which we live. Alex regularly contributes to CBC training and conferences.
