Training Delivery

All our training is based on learning from bereaved families, helping professionals to understand the needs of distressed families and children, and how appropriate support from the outset can have positive and sustained benefits for their future wellbeing. We also encourage professionals to reflect on their own feelings and experiences to support them in this emotionally demanding work.

All our training is delivered by our skilled facilitators, combining subject knowledge and facilitation expertise, with extensive experience of working in their particular field of bereavement.

Our training is fully interactive and uses a variety of teaching methods to ensure that participants gain as much from the course as possible, to help develop confidence, skills and strategies in supporting bereaved children and families.

A number of our workshops and courses are accredited by Buckinghamshire New University and The Royal College of Nursing.

All our training contributes to CPD, a full day equating to five hours. Supporting course material and a certificate of attendance are provided.

Our training contributes to the NHS Knowledge and Skills Framework by supporting the delivery of quality services.

"Over 10 years ago I first attended a study day. This day inspired me to be the Lead Senior Nurse for Bereavement. I am now the Matron and tell people that it all started with CBC. I know that many families' lives have been touched as a result of the fantastic support and teaching for healthcare professionals"
