Aim
A THREE DAY residential support and training course to help participants refuel and gain support, and experience how this supportive environment may be continued once they return to their place of work
Learning Outcomes
- to examine what draws us to the work we do, recognise our own need for
support and explore different ways to support and help ourselves and others
- to identify our own feelings around loss and grief and the physical and
emotional effects these have on us
- to examine and develop a deeper understanding of the needs of grieving
families and how grief affects them
- to identify ways to use listening and assertiveness skills
- to increase self confidence and be an advocate for ourselves and others
- to gain an understanding of the value of looking after ourselves
- to provide an opportunity to network and share experiences
- to gain information about the Child Bereavement Charity, other similar support
organisations and resources available
Who Should Attend?
A supportive course suitable for anyone involved in caring for bereaved families and children, whether in the statutory or voluntary sector.
