Aim
A TWO DAY course to enable participants to further develop their facilitation skills and in particular learn how to build a trusting environment in which participants feel able to express issues of real concern to them.
The workshop will be highly experiential and will draw on participants' own experience; case study material will also be used.
Learning Outcomes
- to review your experiences as facilitators, celebrate your achievements,
share any challenges you may have encountered, and consolidate the
learning from these experiences
- to identify your own particular behaviour patterns in group situations and
recognise how this may impact on facilitative style
- to learn how to deal with issues you bring to the day
- to further develop your facilitative skills by co-facilitating a discussion
around a topic of general interest and receiving feedback
- to recognise the impact of group dynamics on the facilitator and how to
work with these effectively
- to explore the importance of boundaries both for facilitators and the
groups you facilitate
- to recognise the importance of self support and identify ways to enable this
to happen
Who Should Attend?
Experienced facilitators leading groups of any size around bereavement.
"I will be sharing my skills with my colleagues and using the learning in my work. The new styles and exercises will be very helpful and I will endeavor to be more adventurous in future"
