Key to the work of Child Bereavement Charity is the very high value we place on what we are told by families who have suffered the tragedy of bereavement. Their experiences inform all of our work and training. We try to provide all of our training events with someone to enable professionals to hear at first hand what made a difference, good, bad or otherwise, in bereavement.
This is often helpful in two ways. By sharing their experiences with and through Child Bereavement Charity, families really can make a difference to those who have similar experiences in the future. Families have told us that sharing their experiences is not only an effective way of expressing some of the complex emotions around their own bereavement, but itcan also serve to lessen the sense of isolation they can so often feel when a death happens.
If you would like to share your experiences with CBC, either in writing, or by speaking at a training day or conference, please email Ann Rowland, Head of Bereavement Services, or ring 01494 568900
