Payroll Giving

Payroll Giving - also known as Give As You Earn and Workplace Giving

- is a great way to support our work, and get the taxman to pay a share too!

Can you do it?

If you earn a salary, or if your pension is paid via PAYE then you are eligible.

Who benefits?

Bereaved families, because you don’t pay any tax on the donations you make, so all the money goes to our work supporting them. If you’re a basic rate taxpayer, and you decide to give £10 a month, it will cost you £8 per month. And if you are a higher rate tax payer it will cost you just £6!

How do you start?

Setting it up is easy. Simply ask your HR or Payroll department to deduct your donation from your regular pay packet. As long as they have an existing relationship with an HMRC approved agency, you will be off. If they don’t, then you can set one up directly through Workplace Giving.

If you have any more questions, please email Pippa Lock or call her on 01494 568914 for more information. We will also help you set it up so you can sit back and relax. Alternatively look at the HM Revenue & Customs website yourself, for a more detailed explanation.
