There is no right way to grieve. People grieve in many different ways. The most important thing is to understand that your grief is natural and is your unique way of expressing how you feel having lost someone important in your life.
Try at times to be with someone who will listen to your feelings, for as long as you need. Only you know how you are feeling.
For fathers, it can be particularly hard as you may go back to work soon after your baby or child has died. People may forget that it was your child too and may only ask you how your partner is feeling.
For single parents who lose their only child, it can be so painful feeling you are no longer acknowledged by others as a parent; when you have the sole responsibility of other children, it may feel that there is little time for grieving.
