Louise and Paul became involved with CBC following the death of their beloved two year old twins Betsy and William in 2004. They became patrons in 2006 and have continuously supported the Charity, including organising St George's Day Clay Pigeon Shoots and Memorial Planting Days for families at Hedgerley Park. In 2010 they commissioned 'Precious Love Rose' in memory of their twins. They have also shared their experiences on several occasions, including at a CBC seminar on the subject of bereavement by sudden death, to help the agencies involved to understand what is important from the family's perspective. Louise said: "It was the Child Bereavement Charity which had the lifeline to make our survival possible. We want that to be available to all families who need it."
